It's hard to tell, at first, if someone is looking back at you. That may be because the eyes are completely black. But that smile sure is visible.

"Oh, but isn't this a pleasant surprise . . ."

[visibly straightens up, allowing some distance between himself and the door]

I would hardly call it pleasant. I am here attending to matters of business, nothing more, nothing less.

[moves to stand next to Konatsu, eyes brightening]

The sword glances at Yuki briefly, then seems to summarily dismiss him, long fingers curving spiderlike at the bars as he leans forward. "It's always business, Konatsu," he murmurs. "But what can I do for you?"

I need details regarding the conditions of the agreements that you made with Lucia Bellcourt and Sebastian Mayfair.

"And what will you give me?"

That was not a request. It was a demand.

"Feisty," the Sword tells you. He beckons.

[glances at Yuki and then leans in]

[GETS READY TO SCRUFF IF NECESSARY]

The Sword's fingers uncurl from the bars with too many joints and he cups Konatsu's face instead. "I missed you," he says, soft and private.

[takes in a deep breath but doesn't pull away]

Somehow, I doubt that.

[yeah no SCRUFFING KONATSU]

The Sword's fingers spread wide. "...I did, though," he says. "I know it probably didn't look that way, but I did my best to do what you asked. I just had to go deeper, you know. He had part of myself locked up. You'd have never stood for that if it were you." His smile broadens.

[goddamnit Yuki]

That is not the matter at hand here.

[y'know what I am just going to keep you scruffed. JUST IN CASE.]

"Isn't it?" the Sword murmurs. "I just fear I left you with quite the wrong impression..."

I need the details of your previous agreements.

"Why do you need them?" the Sword asks.

For a trial. Perhaps if you cooperate you will be looked upon more favorably.

"Perhaps," the Sword says, "you could argue my case instead."
