[Game 21] Through The Train

The marbles from each group are inserted into the pupils in each door. The eyes blink, unnervingly, then seal shut. All at once, the lights dim down in each compartment and fade back to quiet darkness . . . though you still see the occasional spark of magic along the windows and edges of the train.

You still have no electricity, and your magic is still dampered.

You can, at least, proceed through, either back or forward along the train. The compartments are arranged in approximately this order:

[goes stiff, startled. Makes a strange little hiccup sound]

We're okay. Elli got a bit emotionally hurt. But not physically. Um. I'll give her back now. Bye.

...[pats his back] Um. Sorry. I'm okay. I'm definitely better off than you right now.

[psychopompous]

[. . . he slumps against her very briefly, like giving himself a moment to be exhausted and miserable is actually the painful part, here]

[murmurs softly] I've got you. It's okay.

[psychopompous]

[tenses, then abruptly jerks back, tugging his scarf close, posture folding in on himself, chin tilting up stubbornly]

It's—nothing to be concerned about. We were sent here, clearly. It's nothing we are unable to handle.

I mean, things aren't always ideal for me either. That's what we've got everyone for, right? To make it easier to handle.
