[Game 18] Endgame

It's early morning by the time they tidy up the house and fix the windows—leaving it as neat as they'd entered it, Tristan promises—and head out. Tristan seems to be itching to just get away from the place, though they can't return to the church, and it's now New Year's Day—so they head back across the border to the house in New York. Even Sariel comes along—albeit reluctantly—at Tristan's suggestion.

"To my understanding," Tristan says, "the kid's with Sera right now, which I'm cool with. I was a bit rough on him, so he might be sleeping it off for another little while—and like you all said, he might be a bit freaked out to see a dozen people staring at him. So let's leave him there for now. I can send you all home." He pauses.

"But if you want to come back soon . . . I can bring you back. No agenda necessary. If you don't want to come—well, let me know, and I'll try not to bring you."

[at some point Robin is going to gather everyone's attention to tell them something Very Important. this conversation can happen at Denny's, or back at the house if you didn't come along.]

Shuri and I were having a discussion earlier, and the topic of our name came up. And what I mean by that is, the name of whatever this group calls itself. We don't have a fancy-sounding name like The Intercessionists, and we're only partially affiliated with them anyway... but still, it feels like--and we hope you all agree--that our group is a significant player in the recent cosmic events, and so we deserve a good moniker to go by. We looked at the things we're known for, the things that define us--the summonings, our affiliation with the Mayfair-Bellcourts, working for and with demons, angels, and the Fae... and it does sound like an awful lot to express in a simple name, but we came up with something that does feel like a good representation of everyone in our group. So... here we are. What do you think?

I really do think a name would be useful... I mean, it's not exactly like we're under the radar anymore.

Right. Our final boss knows who we are and what we look like, too. So it's not like we're keeping our existence a secret.

Well, we are. It's hard to know who to trust during these difficult times, but we're nice. We don't pick fights unless others start them. Or we have a good reason to.
