"I can get one of the demons to drive us most of the way," says David, as their group splits off from the others. "Unfortunately," he adds dryly, "and for obvious reasons, I can't drive us."
I doubt the CEO was the only demon in the company. Can you forward any info on contracts the company was planning to make? I'll take whoever is coming to the crime scene and see what else we find out.
"Yeah," David says. "I can keep looking things up while you guys are out, at least until you get there. I'm going to be going with you in a way, just not . . . physically."
"I would probably be more at risk if I came with you and we suddenly had to run somewhere," David points out dryly. "Anyway, it'll be fine. Fon, do you want to get everyone up to speed on what's going on? Kazuki, you can come with me."
He braces himself on his cane again and heads out of the kitchen.
(David's bedroom is much, much messier than the rest of the apartment. The bed is unmade, and there are clothes everywhere. He has a huge TV facing the bed, with literally every type of modern game console, and racks of games next to it. There is a mirror on the door of a walk-in-closet, though for some reason there's a sheet hung on a hook overtop of it. There is a huge desk in the corner with three computer screens and a large pile of books. The windows are closed, and covered with blackout curtains.)

"Really, Kazuki? Not now . . ." David sounds amused, though.
