[Game 10] Epilogue

That little diversion aside, with no sign of reoccurring, a few hours pass with the group together and Zoey is humming as she gathers materials for the magic circle in the basement.

There's still time before midnight to have whatever moments with everyone else you like before going home, but you can feel in the air that it'll be soon.

David relaxes slowly, just petting Kazuki's hair as he kisses back just as slowly.

David pauses after a while, pressing their foreheads together. "You really—you want to be with me."

I bet more people than just me would want to if you let them . . . but yeah, of course.

David shakes his head hard. "N-no."

I'm serious!

"Nobody else . . ."

I'm not telling you to go looking, I'm saying you keep selling yourself short by asking questions like that.

"I don't like me, so it's hard for me to accept that other people do . . ." David says this fairly matter-of-factly.

Yeah, I got that. Seeing as you barely accept I like you.

"Sorry . . ." David says, a little worried all of a sudden.

. . . I love you, so get used to it!

"I keep thinking you'll get bored, or realize you don't need me being a hanger-on that you dragged back on his feet . . ."

Did you ever consider that maybe you'll realize you don't need me one day either? I'm just a guy that helped you out when you were going through a bad time.

David . . . pauses.

[virtuallyroyalty]

So it's not really about needing each other or getting bored at all. You're not some kind of entertainment that I just decided to help out and then date on a whim.

"I know," David says slowly, apparently still lost in thought.

David shifts out of his chair, moving to sit on one of the couches, and holds out a hand to Kazuki.

[... takes David's hand?]

David pulls him in, wrapping his other arm around Kazuki's neck, tugging him down.

Oof—!

[steadying himself... on David... looking down kind of perplexed, but nonetheless blushing a little.]

David laughs a little, surprisingly easily. "You're cute . . ."

Shut up, I'm getting sick of hearing that.
