*walks toward the graveyard entrance*

There is a crow blocking your path. It cawwws loudly and fluffs its wings.

Meanwhile, the demon has gone for Kit.

Kit clearly needs to learn some kind of spiritual self-defense at this rate, good God.

*ARRRGH looses an arte at the demon*

LIMITED, YOU BASTARD!

The demon doesn't move for a long moment, then, much like a crow in the face of oncoming traffic, it performs some sort of bizarre last-minute maneuver and hops just out of the path of danger.

Kit says, "Look, can we not do the hostage thing..."

"The crow don't do hostages," the demon says distastefully. "We do collateral."

*barrels down on it with Tokunaga! casts again!

all while swearing impressively, sorry Kit*

The demon dodges, though it puffs a few feathers here and there as it does so, whipping out what appears to be a police baton.

*change of plans: Tokunaga keeps chasing down the demon, going in more or less a straight line

but Anise pushes off its head and dives at another angle, towards the crow and towards Kit*

The demon writes something down in its notebook. The fact that it has only two hands and is holding a baton, a pen, and a notebook doesn't seem to be an issue.

At the last moment, again, it darts around Tokunaga and smacks it hard with the baton.

*IT COLLAPSES

Anise, meanwhile, makes it in front of Kit, another Limited at the ready*

"I apologize for the trouble, Miss Anise," Kit murmurs to her back.

[arsgoetia]

The demon holds up its hands in mock-surrender, which would probably work better in theory if he weren't still holding a baton.

"I don't like fighting," he says.

*flicks her fingers at Kit without turning, a sort of oh, you motion*

You'll have to deal with it or go away!

"Let's make a deal instead," the demon suggests, and promptly sits down, cross-legged.

What sort of deal?

"Question for a question," suggests the demon.

...if you promise not to sneak Kit from behind me, or jump up and knock me out, while we deal.

"A deal is a deal," the demon says agreeably, smiling.
