rofl no seriously tho SHE WAS A LOT OF FUN I wasn't 100% sure what she was gonna be like until I started playing her. I had a concept in mind, lemme find her notes . . .

Paz (sin: revenge, getting back at people who wronged you)
- Was the original Conductor of the train
- Loyal to Amon, fairly high-up
- Wrathful demon of Revenge, getting your Just Desserts
- Very salty about this Michael thing. Fuck that guy.
- Kind of like partway between Sardonyx and the Hunter x Hunter butlers?

That said, she morphed and fleshed out once I started playing. I found her icons partway thru because I decided I wanted them, so the new face changed the character a little bit. She became a little more Berserker-y, and I went from there.

I want to know more about Hale :V Did your plans for him change as the game went on??

Also curious about PB process. How do you decide when a new NPC gets their own journal?

Hale stayed pretty constant! We knew we wanted at least one Wrath demon around who was stuck in a bad situation and was going to help you out, and I came up with the plan of having him be an incubus who was in service under Wrath because he's here to fight as well as fuck.

We hadn't really planned to have him come back and party but why would we abandon a good NPC in the wilds of Philly??? And by the end, he had reason to want to come hang out with you guys.

PB process is... not... a process so much as "have we established a look for this character, and can we find a PB". The lack of process is partly because we didn't DO character journals for a long time (since we started out as all themed Cry Wolf games so we shared the shepherd journal).

For example, Bastien and Kit should probably have PBs because they've reoccurred enough, but since we had commissioned art of them for the original game, finding pbs to fit the already established appearance is really hard! Usually in that case we'll commission an icon set (as with Madison, Tristan, etc) but that is expensive so we usually don't do it unless they're gonna be major characters or ones we'll play outside of demonverse games.

(Sometimes, we make character journals for characters who won't reoccur because we find perfect PBs so why not. Other times we have had characters who appear semi-regularly for eight years of play time who are still just under the arsgoetia journal).
