[Game 21] Epilogue

So, you get your Philly cheesesteak, and you head back on another train, returning to New York at fuck o'clock in the morning. Maybe you get a nap on the train, or maybe you're full of yawns and misery as you head back to Sariel's house at the crack of dawn. Paz went on her merry way with wonderful promises for the future, but Hale is with you, seeming remarkably energetic.

Madison is just barely held back by Kieran, it seems, from just sprinting out the door as soon as you get anywhere near the yard. As it stands, as soon as you all make your way past the gate, there's a redhead barreling down to greet you.

It'll be fine. You just have to be gentle with him. And patient.

We're not going to be doing anything so I'm not sure where the gentle patience comes in... Do you think he felt rejected because I didn't instantly want to, like, change rooms...

I think he panicked because when he suggested it he was thinking of innocent cohabitation where it wouldn't be Moving Fast and then realizing what it implied died a little on the inside.

He already told me he's not gonna do that with me though, so... I guess it might have embarrassed him anyway though, he's like that.

To be fair you can do that stuff and still get embarrassed about it sometimes.

I haven't date-dated anyone who wasn't, uh, living, in my own body. Privacy gets a little...weird.

I'd... like to not mess this up totally though.

You'll mess this up a little but so will he.

[shrugs]

...True enough. He's a good guy, anyway. So it won't go too bad.

This could be really good for him. I'm happy for you two.

Once everyone's gone and you and Madison have had some alone time want to go out and do something?

That'd be fun. Whatever you wanna do, I'm in.

[reaches up to pat her head]

Once you're rested only. It'll be nice for things to get back to normal, though.

I want things to be normal again so badly.

I don't like this happening at my HOUSE.

No, that definitely made it like, infringing on safe space.

All our food is gone...

At least Tristan's over and will probably pay for a grocery run.

Good cuz I want more of the fancy coffee he buys whenever he's over and we were almost out from last time he was here.
