[Game 21] Summoning

For some of you, this may be a familiar feeling. For others, it's a new sensation: a tug, a pull, suddenly finding yourself slipping between the cracks and opening your eyes in someplace that was not where you were a few moments ago. It feels like getting tugged into someone's embrace: warm, a little exhilarating.

As for where you find yourselves:

It's a tidy, well-kept garden in the backyard of a small house with yellow trim. The house is a little run down, but immaculately clean and well-kept. It's a sunny day, and there are literally pies cooling on the windowsill.

There is a red-haired boy standing on the rooftop, looking down at everyone with his hands outstretched. One moment, he seems very calm. The next moment, it's sheer panic.

"Oh???"

Yes! Quite! From cat to Hyur and you can be other things! It must by quite fascinating to change, so!

[tenebrat]

Hyur? Is that what they call humans, where you are from? I could perhaps become a person like you, if I made the attempt.

[beleaving]

Humans? Is that what you call them? Yes! I am an Elezen and your form is Hyuran.

[ There's a pause, and it changes shape; much more slowly this time, as if considering its form, and honestly it's a liiitttle weird. But it does end up with something resembling Haurchefant, at least a little, if only more androgynous and shorter and with the same black hair and red eyes. Maybe a bit taller than the twins, if anything.

It reaches up to touch its ears-- still round-- before reaching over to touch Haurcefant's, with a slight frown. ]

I have never seen ears like these, so it is a little odd for me.

[ but they also slowly form; pointier and wider ]

[He leans in to let Cys touch his ears though he's a little perplexed.] Truly! Your powers are indeed splendid! You look just like a young Elezen!

[tenebrat]

[ i have no physical boundaries. also it kind of just seems like its using the touch as a point of reference, because it pulls back to feel its own ears after ] Oh! Do I? Is it good? It is very similar to human, but taller, I think.

[beleaving]

Yes, it's quite good! I'm impressed!

[tenebrat]

Oh, good. Thank you. It is quite nice to be this tall. But still not so tall as you, I suppose, because I look "younger". That is a shame. I could be older, but I do not know so much about aging... [ a pause ] You seem like a very kind person.

[beleaving]

It is kind of you to say so, Cys.

Do you not age?

[tenebrat]

I do not know if I age, much, as I have only existed for a few years. But I have looked like this since I took a human form.

[beleaving]

How curious. Is that normal for a being like you?

[tenebrat]

I do not know... I only knew one other like me, and they were much older and much much larger, and they still looked very young I think...? [ "larger" is kind of weird here ]

[beleaving]

Perhaps it is just a feature of your race.

[tenebrat]

Oh, perhaps! If there are others like me, though, I have not met them or felt them anywhere in my vicinity. Though my reach does not extend very far...

[ eventually retaking human form again, quickly this time ]

A rare breed. Pardon if this is intrusive but that sounds like it could be somewhat lonely.

[tenebrat]

[ a pause, eyes wide, before it touches its fingers to its lips and bows its head slightly. ] ... ah. Hm. Perhaps it is...? I am lucky to have so many who enjoy my company, now, so I have not put too much thought into it... But I do suppose I was often lonely, before.
