[Game 21] Summoning

For some of you, this may be a familiar feeling. For others, it's a new sensation: a tug, a pull, suddenly finding yourself slipping between the cracks and opening your eyes in someplace that was not where you were a few moments ago. It feels like getting tugged into someone's embrace: warm, a little exhilarating.

As for where you find yourselves:

It's a tidy, well-kept garden in the backyard of a small house with yellow trim. The house is a little run down, but immaculately clean and well-kept. It's a sunny day, and there are literally pies cooling on the windowsill.

There is a red-haired boy standing on the rooftop, looking down at everyone with his hands outstretched. One moment, he seems very calm. The next moment, it's sheer panic.

"Oh???"

[Rosalie is vaguely relieved to not be the only one who looks like she came from a fancy dress party, since she looks like she walked out of the 1930s.]

Oh, good, I'm not the only one who's confused.

I've been taken places before, but none of this looks familiar to me.

[or rather looks too nice to be what I expected??]

Rosalie. I can't say I recognize this place either.

[holds out her hand for a shake. do those exist in ffxiv land???]

[there's definitely a small pause before he's like OH I KNOW THIS]

[lightly brofist bumpbs her hand. this right??]

[her eyebrows go up in surprise and she drops her hand, but she doesn't seem that bothered]

I guess they don't shake where you come from.

[???]

Shake?

Yep. It's kind of like what you did but more formal. Where I come from, anyway.

Ah, I see. For us, we bow. Like so.

[pulls his legs together, sweeps an arm over his stomach, and bows formally]

Huh. I think we used to do that. You know...in history.

It mostly depends on the people you're greeting and where. In Ishgard, they're a lot more formal and dramatic.

They sound like fun people.

They can be once they relax out of public view.

It's more of a cultural thing for them.

I'll take your word for it.

So where do you come from?

[considers and then discards several answers before settling on:]

Yes, in Eorzea.

Yeah, never heard of that one either.

How far was I pulled this time...?

This time? Don't tell me this has happened to you before.

[it's happened to her before so maybe she doesn't have much room to talk, but still.]
