[Game 20] Epilogue
Maon leads the way back towards civilization—somehow making his way easily back out through the woods, and you know, there's some things you just don't ask about.
It's a little longer walk back than it was getting there—you'd ended up popping out in a slightly different location. The sun isn't quite up enough to be causing any adverse side effects, and somehow as you walk, you find any fatigue or pain or chill drifting away, leaving you feeling rejuvinated rather than exhausted. The really happy archangel might be partially to blame for that.
The cottage soon comes into sight. Siùsaidh is sitting on the porch waiting, and Tristan's car is once again parked outside.
"Tis about time ye got back," she says firmly. "Tis been three days, and I can only mind an incubus in my home fer so long. Step inside for breakfast, now, won't ye?"
[we will continue to pick at threads in the Endgame but feel free to hit up anybody anywhere in the Epilogue! thanks for the game, see you againin three years soon ♥]

—your protests about "spying" on an archangel are irrelevant, however. It's obvious that it is not our nor your decision to make, in that regard.

How he still sometimes talks to me.
How he talked to me like within the last five minutes where he acted like I was a terrible boss instead of the boy he CRIED because of after the escape room incident.

[he whips his head up to glare at him]

. . . I'm sorry. That was—rude of us.

I don't know what you want. At all. Ever. You demanded you keep an eye on us if we had to work together and now you're saying it like, if you're forced to cohabit with a demon, so like...? If you don't want us around we'll go and that's fine.

Sariel, it's . . . okay.
To—feel.

And Elli, we already talked earlier so. What you think of what I said is.
[shrugs]

Who's saying that to me?

Being alone is the worst.

I can't help what I am.

But I'm not ah. The most gentle of helpers perhaps.
And anyway, what Sariel is. Who he is. That's like sooooo many things.

[sinks forward, resting his elbows on his knees, looking . . . tired, bangs falling in front of his eyes. he doesn't even bother to shove them back, for once]
So many things you actually still want around? —I'm not being self-conscious, Kano, I just genuinely think I'd be disruptive to you.

It's not going to be perfect! I don't want it to be! I don't want some weird matrix life where you never fuss at me!
I disrupt your life all the time and you still want me, right? Right??
[when did this shift from maddy and elluka living with us to maybe I should go. help help no.]

[he draws in a deep breath, head in his hands]
I don't mind if—that is to say, I wouldn't object—we are not opposed to—

You are all three, four, five—whatever, of you, strange and weird and annoying, and do things all wrong, and—I like you.

[gets off the couch and just
obnoxiously bodily flops onto him like the worst koala onto his side]
You're a jerk sounding like you'd leave me alone. Make it up to me.
