[Game 10] Epilogue

That little diversion aside, with no sign of reoccurring, a few hours pass with the group together and Zoey is humming as she gathers materials for the magic circle in the basement.

There's still time before midnight to have whatever moments with everyone else you like before going home, but you can feel in the air that it'll be soon.

I think this is what I imagined when I thought of how I'd like to spend the holidays. Despite the setbacks, and the chaos, and the troubling things--that I'm allowed to be here, in the presence of the people who are important to me... well. Maybe it's cliché, but that's what Christmas means to me. So I'm grateful for it.

He gives Robin a lopsided smile. "You know," he says, "I'm really not a big fan of Christmas normally? I ran away from home when I was barely a teenager. Mr. Prewett takes care of me and he does Christmas well, but I'm not very good about family. But I think I kind of get it."

He gives another small smile. "I understand how you feel," he says, quiet.

Mm. And the time you spend with them... that's the most important.

Almost everyone that was summoned, I know back in Camp. Most of us are friends there, too, even with amnesia. But there's always this sense like... something is missing, something connecting all of us, and we can't see it. At least that's how it is for me. So whenever we do come here, and all the memories come rushing back... I want to focus on every moment, on everyone I meet, so that maybe... just maybe, I'll remember something when I have to go back.
