The next day, Lucia invites everyone into the main room... "Hey everybody! After all this sitting around and thinking I thought everyone might want to get out and have some fun! Which is to say, laser tag! Let's all go around and harmlessly shoot each other in the dark for a bit, it's a great time also I have never got to do it before because I have no friends."

She says it totally deadpan and jerks a thumb to the door.

"Or if people want to stay home and eat and rest up sure, that's fine. Some of you are looking pretty tired. If you're having trouble sleeping, I totally have drugs that will konk you right out!"

[OOC: I will be putting up a top level comment for everyone to thread running around and shooting each other while glowing bizarrely under a blacklight if they want, and people can also comment to the main post if they want to stay back, talk to NPCs, etc (just let us know if you want anyone in particular). We will also be having a couple of small plot hook events going up at whatever times through the rest of tonight and tomorrow, but thread in those at your leisure, there is no time demand. Just letting you catch up a little, Fon dear. He is still playing fine, though.

[ttly focused on the board, maybe a little annoyed]

"I see what you're doing there..."

"Mm," Tristan makes a noncommittal noise, actually focusing on the board again.

[WHY ARE YOU BETTER THAN ME, THIS IS TERRIBLE]

"...maybe," Kieran acquiesces grudgingly, watching them.

Tristan's eyes are heavy-lidded, expression totally focused on the game.

[god, I am so not used to not win]

Kieran leans over, fascinated.

Tristan's posture has relaxed considerably, fingers light on the chess pieces as he moves them, confident.

[paying very close attention to everything and trying to catch Tristan off guard]

"...yeah, this is all worth it." Kieran is deeply satisfied here.

Tristan glances up very briefly, chin in one hand, fingers curled against his cheek. "Hm?" he murmurs, gaze a bit distant.

[Fon is annoyed at Tristan for looking distracted 8(]

"...Sorry," Kieran says. "Ignore me!"

Tristan gives him a warm little smile, then turns back to the game.

[and he's gonna try to stealthily force a stalemate because screw you]

Kieran watches silently, absorbing, absorbing.

Tristan is biting his lower lip a little in concentration.

[I can do this if you mess up!!]

This chess is getting all shounen, you guys.

Imagine the Hikaru no Go theme music. Dunnnanana, dunanana.

Tristan glances up at Kieran during one of the periods where Fon is thinking.

Believe me, I was.

Kieran is watching the board, interested, but at the movement he looks back, eyebrows raised?

Tristan just smiles a little.
