[Day 4] Hell

Some of you are discussing serious lawyering with the most serious lawyer. Others are reuniting with old friends, or meeting new ones(?) . . . and some of you are just flat-out riding bad decision dinosaur trains.

Up the stairs is:

A path into the rest of the building

An exit through the lobby

It appears to be an official government building, perhaps indeed the courthouse.

[ Through the lobby towards the exit it is! ]

You exit into the government district! Lots of official-looking buildings here, and some busy demons moving among them.

And now what? Which direction?

I don't know, but let's try not to look too lost.

[ He doesn't know where he's going, but he strides purposefully down the nearest busy-ish street that leads away from the building. ]

Quick! Pick a direction: NSEW

I'm pretty sure we stand out, no matter what. We're only here in soul, remember?

A little confidence can go a lot farther than you think. At least, I'd rather not draw any extra attention to us.

The buildings begin to thin out to more ricketty structures. The ground rocks again with an ominous rumble.

[ West, down the next street or alley that looks like it might go somewhere else. ]

[just shakes his head] Hopefully we won't end up in a complete wasteland.

Buildings, again, close together, lower class than before. Lots of violet lights here, and you start to hear more of the sound of people, laughing, talking, screaming, sobbing.

[ Like a champ, going towards the sound of voices. Maybe he can wheedle information on getting the hell out of here, pun not entirely intended. ]

You didn't have to come with me, you know.

[shrugs] Why not? I didn't want to sit still in there anyway.

You have found Hell's entertainment district! Restaurants, strip joints, gambling dens, bars, close streets and alleyways. Here you see demons and -- are those perhaps even human souls? No, surely not -- going to and fro merrily.

[ Perfect. This'll do as a nice start. He looks for some place that looks busy-- a bar, a gambling parlor, anything with "people" going in and out frequently. He's not picky, he just wants a crowd. ]

Any of the above would work for that.

You enter a gambling parlour. The whole thing looks quite snazzy - big crowd, bright lights, etc.

You're telling me. This'll do fine.

[ Now how about the poker table. There must be one of those here. ]

I'm sure it will. Just don't gamble about something you can't lose. [like your soul, but I doubt you're that dumb. ...I, however...]
